Girls night out
Last week I went to a concert in Vera with my sister. I had bought the tickets two weeks earlier, and I had really been looking forward to this night. Alela Diane was going to play, and I am a big fan of her! Her voice is really amazing… You should check her latest album To be Still.
The opening act was The Wind Whistles, who gave a nice show away.
Memorable moment: my sister recognizing a song played by Alela Diane (Heart of Gold by Crosby). And we were both touched by Oh my mama, just like the rest of the crowd.
The concert was very good, I am even a bigger fan now.

The canals
Yesterday I was feeling very grumpy, so my boyfriend and I decided to go for a walk into town. We walked by the canals with houseboats, which are often depicted by local painters. As you can see, I am no local painter, and there are no houseboats on this photo.
Best birthday cake ever!!
Today was my birthday. I use to tease my little sister for always cooking to much food. Now she baked a cake that is big enough to eat for a whole week!
I wonder if it has more calories or love in it.
July 3 edit: This morning I found out you can have it for breakfast!
